Larry Sundem Obituary

Larry Sundem, 76, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND surrounded by family.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Larry on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN. There will be a private burial at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Larry Robert Sundem was born in Minneapolis, MN on February 10, 1948. Larry graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in photographic engineering. He started out at Brown Photo in Minneapolis and ended his career with AGFA. Larry served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1971. Being retired, he enjoyed his winters in AZ playing softball and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, JoAnne; daughter Melissa (Chad) Genereux and son Eric (Myra Johnson) Sundem; grandchildren, Fiona and Laney Sundem; sisters, Robin Cornell, Marilyn Smith and Jenny Marchessault; brother Bob Sundem and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Sundem; brother Kerry Sundem; sister Cheryl Carey; in-laws Elwood and Frances Pauley and brother-in-law Steve Smith.
