Arliss Joslyn, 87, of Bemidji, MN passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Greenwood Connections in Menahga, MN.
Visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
She was born on September 17, 1936 to Iva (Vezina) and Leroy Braman in Lengby, MN. She grew up and attended school in Cass Lake, MN. Arliss married Devere (Slim) Rognstad and they had six children, Sue, Deewayne, James Dean, Rodney, Tim and Mike. She later married Ronald Joslyn on October 3, 1970. They moved to Their farm in Guthrie and had a daughter, Sandy.
Arliss spent most of her adult life as a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and canning and loved to watch her cows and dog Oscar. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and garage sales. Arliss was a member of Jehovah Witness Congregation in Cass Lake and then Bemidji.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue (Jim) Bettin of Park Rapids, MN and Sandy (John) Evans of St. Cloud, MN and two sons, Deewayne Rognstad of Leonard, MN and Rodney Rognstad of California. Also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Arliss was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Joslyn of 50 years; her parents; two brothers, Delbert and Herbert (Bud) Braman; her first husband; sons, Mike, Tim and infant son James Dean and grandson, Timmy Rognstad Jr.
